Solana keeps the Vega household anchored, and she's like una tia - an aunt - to me. In personality, she’s careful, polite, and conservative in character, but has a great and warm heart. She never forgets to send a monthly note of encouragement full of the little Sangay hacienda snippets and details that remind me that even though I'm an Estrellero, I'm still welcome on that mountain, overlooking the beautiful Osochán.
